The Connecticut LGBT Athlete Safe Space!

 

CLASS was initiated by the Counseling Program for Intercollegiate Athletes in 2006.

CLASS is an online support system and resource network including links, educational information, legal information, a question and answer forum and more.

This site is designed to provide information for everyone on some of the resources available concerning sexual orientation in athletics.  Student-athletes, coaches, administrators, faculty and friends are all welcome.

CLASS was started as a support system for the athletic community addressing Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) related issues in sport.  Being a LGBT athlete often has its own unique challenges.   Our hope is that this webpage series will help you get the resources you need.

It is important to remember this forum and its affiliates promote inclusion and safety of all participants.  You may participate anonymously or publicly.  Please contribute your thoughts so we may help meet your needs to the best of our abilities.
