CPIA is continually looking for persons wanting to work with motivated student-athletes as they strive toward academic success. We look for tutors able to effectively communicate and encourage student-athletes in relevant course materials.
Promoting desirable academic skills (study, note-taking, text reading, time management and test taking skills) is also a critical part of the tutoring relationship. |

Training and supervision is a significant component of the tutor responsibilities to ensure the most effective tutoring experience for both the tutee and tutor. As a CPIA tutor you will be required to uphold the University Code of Conduct, National Collegiate Athletic Association rules and regulations and the specific CPIA tutor guidelines. For any additional questions, please refer to the Tutoring Handbook.
As a tutor, you determine the number of students and hours you are able to manage. You also determine days and times worked. Hourly pay rate is determined by experience, degrees held and seniority as a CPIA tutor.
Veteran CPIA tutors rave about how well the tutoring experience enhanced their teaching skills and knowledge of the material. Tutoring experience is also beneficial as undergraduate students attempt to gain admission to the different schools on campus.
